Default Problems with a 1.8 Dualfuel

My Car is not well just wondered what needs checking car is booked in tomorrow with Northern Autogas tomorrow as VX refuse to look at my car ..cant understand that as its a factory fit LPG but no vx garage will look at it regardless of if issue is to do with LPG side or not...anyway rant over now to the problem...car had been misfiring for a while just changed plugs to NGK LPG plugs (coincidental probabley) and was back to normal 3 days but now sluggish, with misfires also idle is erratic..and I have the exhaust emissions warning light on...Luckily took out a tesco warranty on the car in Nov 08 so hope that covers it...but what arears does the garage need to check...might help in them identifying the prob quicker and me getting my car back...

cheers guys...vx are a waste of space..they replaced my cambelt when I had a knocking noise but now refuse to touch it as prob could be linked to LPG...oh well hope Northern Autogas can sort the prob..

So far from checking on forum going to tell them to check

    EGR Valve
    Coil

any others that could cause my car the probs listed..?

Hope the Tesco Warranty works for you. As I understand the function of the LPG is the same as any other fuel so would have thought they should refer you to another dealer. I would be very tempted to get a letter of complaint to Vauxhall Customer Services. Maybe worth a search for LPG/Duel Fuel as there was a post a couple of weeks back.

Lets hope you have some luck at Northern Autogas. ...........

No mate runs as rough with petrol now but not as bad as LPG...i believe that any issue with the car in petrol is multiplied on LPG due to its sensitive nature..

If it runs rough with the lpg switched off i would think its not a problem with the lpg side of things then. There is a part called a condensor i believe these like to play up which causes rough running.

Vauxhall LPG isn't factory fitted - it's fitted at Millbrook by the SVO guys. They'd probably be the ones who'd need to look at it, though I'm not sure if they deal with the public in any way.

Have you contacted Vauxhall HQ in Luton about it?
