Ebay, would this response have annoyed you also

Was looking at bidding on this....

so asked the following question

"Hi,
Does this come with the base?
If so the base is different for the vectra and signum
Can you confirm what the base you have fits?
Thank you"

And got this response

"hi look at the picture !!!!! do you see a base ,i thought not , this can be made to fit anything .ive even seen them in campervans !!!"

This response for some reason really annoyed me and just wanted to know if others feel it was a just response or was i right to get annoyed?

It shows a lack of understanding of what he's trying to sell really, as I'm not sure they're the same for both the vectra and the Signum, and the bases are certainly different. Also, manners cost nothing...

His sales tactics needs improving also. If you annoy the customer (or potential customer) then you won't make a sale.

I say look elsewhere too.

I would tell him where to stick it!! i thought he was trying to sell the item when i sell anything on ebay i bend over backwards to help a prospective purchaser with the correct info they require

I replied with a polite but to the point response

The rip had put me off it anyway but given Vectra ones are like rocking horse poo i thought it worth an ask.

I just dont understand why some sellers feel they have a right to be rude to potential customers. I always answer all questions im asked how ever stupit i may feel them. A curteous answer might just bump the price up that little bit.

Oh well im over it now, it just wound me up when i opened my email to read that.
