    Default HID light problem

I was driving back from manchester airport the other day which took me along some dark country lanes and I noticed (pretty hard not too) that my lights only light up 50 yards infront. I spent most the journey with main beam on and slowing down when I had to take it off. Having never drove dark lanes at night I have never noticed this before. I recently sprayed the lights black (not the lens before I get a smart comment lol). Any suggestions?

Sounds like something isn't lined up properly. Check everything is securely bolted in then go get your lights realigned.

Bulbs checked, in place and secure
Just took it for a drive along an isolated country lane which has varied gradients and few turns plus I can keep main beam on as hardly any cars use it. Only way I can
describe it is that it was like playing a game of chicken.
Will garages be able to allign any lights despite them being way off? and will I be wasting my time taking Hids in to be alligned?

wasnt it you who sprayed the entire lights - as in reflectors as well as the normal black bits? bet thats why - if it was did you ever fix the leak were you were getting misting ?

yeah, dont think that would have affected it though as the beam seems the same height now as before.
Sorted the misting by taking the rear caps off and putting all lights on for 30 mins. Also stuck some silica bags in too.

beems will seem the same height, but im guessing the SRI ones have the reflector left chrome for a reason, maybe it changes the light intensity - might not be noticable on high beam cause its so intense anyway? hope its fixable mate - they look so much better all black lol - if i couyld id paint everything black
