    Question Do you double declutch?

Do you double declutch when coming down the gear box? A little blip of the throttle? Do you enjoy it, or find it smoothes out your driving? If not, why not? Do you know how to, or what it is?

I do - sometimes - when not overlapping braking with moving down through the gears too much.

No, because the electronic throttle on the Vectra (and most modern cars) is too slow to make normal gearchanges smooth as it is.

So what about if you're braking ahead of negotiating some approaching road feature?

You've used your brakes and have slowed to an appropriate road speed, but you're still in a high gear (say, 6th) and feel that you might benefit from using a lower (e.g. 4th) gear to drive forward positively through the feature. You don't want to slow your road speed further.

    Then what do you do?

Sometimes do it, find it alleviates the Vx gearboxs' horrible notchyness when changing gear.
