blown turbo

hi all i have a 2004 veccy c with a blown turbo cananyone tell me if i remove the turbo will it still run till i manage to get another

I'd imagine it would run, but you'd get a hell of a racket, the engine management would just go into meltdown, and you'd get all sorts of soot and debris thrown around the engine bay.

But if you do try it, please stick the results on youtube...

if the turbo has gone do not use the car cause if it sucks in any metal u will have a lot mor problems and the worst way if it sucks in the oil if the seal has gone it will run on the oil and u wont be able to stop it . it will rev like u have never heard and then destroy the engine so my advise would be park it until u can repair it as atruck tech i see this happen alot .

yea as above if your turbo has blown you have no option it can not or should not be driven as it will result in more damage if you leave it in, you may have parts of your turbo impellor sucked in to your engine or yoour can may go in to over run where it runs off the oil in your turbo and the faster your turbo goes the more oil is burnt and it gets faster and faster till your pistons decide to make a break for it and thats scary

the thing is lads im trading it in next week and recently spent almost 2 grand on parts and labour so wanting to remove as much as i can and keep it running till wedensday
