Default help 03 vec playing up

hi iv just gotten a 1.8 sxi 03 plate and am having some minnor problems

1st i cant get into the boot by pressing the key or door switches that unlock boot only way to open is by using key in boot

2nd the rear window wpier and wash do not work

3rd when i try to indicate either left or right booth back indicators flash at the same time rest of indicators flash as they should just fast as if there was a bulb out.

so if i turn right for instance the front and side repeeter on the right flash as does the left and right indicator on the back (does same if left but left side indicators)

have checked all for lose conections bad earth pulled out half my trim making sure cables where ok all appear good

have checked all fuses with no luck only time it would indicate correctly was very breifly when i turned on the ignition but that was only once.

anyone shed some light on this as iv run out of ideas

the cim is about 400 quid fitted. Its controls all the steering wheel electronic functions. It could be the problem. A 2nd hand one would need setting up.

The boot locking mechanism in the pre-facelift Vectra 'C' is the same as in earlier Vauxhall models. Unlike the facelift it has a 'key slot' in the boot lock button. This slot has to be in the HORIZONTAL position for the boot to be unlocked electronically via the remote fob or the door switch. Locking the boot with the key will put the slot ln the VERTICAL position, and if so the boot can only be locked or unlocked using the key. I have just checked this out on my car.

The thinking behind it is that your boot is vulnerable to theft if your car is locked and your boot isn't, although the boot should auto-lock if not under 'key lock control' shortly after moving off.

thanks replys im getting it put on a tech 2 to see if it can find a fault.

john iv been leaving the key in the horizontal position electric boot funtions dont work

also noticed if i put hazards on the rear indicators do not flash rest do so as they should. also no flash when you arm or disarm locks from the keys. could it be a fault from the alarm systems.

any other thoughts and ill post up tech 2 resultswhen its been done thanks again.

It was dropped on the facelift - cost-cutting! But was standard on the pre-facelift.
