    Default chrome V grille?

    wondered how you can take the chrome 'V' off the grille with out taking the bumper off.tried earlier and noticed theres a load of clips holding it on,what can i do? any help would great cheers

    I changed mine on monday for the Vxr colour coded grille you need to remove the bumper and it's a nightmare job once you the remove bumper then remove the black part from the bumper then the chrome grille comes off that not nice!

    You dont have to unclip the black grill, but you do have to remove the bumper, and slowly undo the clips, however i think Taffyopel done his without removing the bumper, could be wrong though

    am sure a was told that ye can take the 'v' off with out removing the bumper just didnt get it explained to me though

    You can do it if your very carefull, but the chances are you will break the clips and the V will become scrap, this is not an issue if your fitting a new V as the new one will easily be re-fitted with the bumper in place.

    People have done it witout removing the bumper but to be honest youd be better doing it the rite way and not risk breaking all the clips that hold the V in place...I tried to do mine without removing bumper and broke a couple of clips.So then had to take bumper off.15 mins will get tht bumper removed...So be warned!!!!

    thats it off,with out taking the bumper off,couple of screw drivers and patience gets it off,sanded it down cleaned and first coat of primer on so far,so get done what i can tonight then the rest tomorrow.keep you informed

    Told ye ta come over ta mine bud would have shown you how to do it glad you to took it off ok can be nightmare if not sure been off this week so it wouldn't have been a prob.
