    Eek Insignia changes to spec...

Well it appears from May 5th there are some specification changes to all Vauxhall cars but the Insignia changes are:

    Insignia

    * Stainless steel sill protector added to Sports Tourer Exclusiv, optional on S models at £50 customer option
    * Exclusiv and SRi models have centre console Push/Turn controller and Electronic Park brake as standard when ordered with DVD 800 Sat Nav
    * Non-leather gearknob replaces leather-covered on all models

Other changes of interest (well to me at least) are, note mention of a 4x4 160BHP diesel:

    New Insignia Sports Tourer Update

Effective immediately, the alloy wheels on all new Insignia Sports Tourer SE and SRi 2.0CDTi 16v 4x4 models are automatically upgraded from the standard 17-inch to the no-cost optional 18-inch alloys.

18-inch 5-twinspoke alloy wheels with 245/45 R 18 tyres are now standard on SRi and SRi Nav 2.0CDTi 16v 4x4 models (as illustrated below)

18-inch 13-spoke alloy wheels with 245/45 R 18 tyres are now standard on SE and SE Nav 2.0CDTi 16v 4x4 models (as illustrated below)

The new Insignia brochure and the Vauxhall Car and Accessory Price Guide will be updated at the next available opportunity to reflect this specification change.

    New Insignia Options Update

Following our e-bulletin dated 3 February 2009, we are pleased to update you with further information, including pricing for available options on new Insignia models. Please note that the following changes are all effective 3 April 2009

New Insignia Sports Tourer Power Tailgate

It does'nt mention the 4x4 being the 160PS, I know the 190 twin turbo 2.0 CDTi will be available with 4x4, are you sure that is not the case?

This is the GM UK Fleet Hub site go check out the news:

As for my earlier post about CDTI SRi 4x4, granted it doesn't state engine size, but as the much vaunted TTID version isn't out I had assumed that they mean a 160PS version....so i maybe misleading everyone...

Your right it doesn't state engine size, but I beleive the twin turbo diesel will be available to order in June time and it is going to have a 4x4 option.

This must be the car to have!

, they are carrying on with the power tailgate on the tourer models. I know what model i'll be ordering in 6 months time. Elite all the way for me.

You have no idea how handy the power tailgate is and when you drive a car that doesn't have it you really do miss it.
