    Default The boy next door

Bought himself an old silver N reg Scooby Impreza on thursday. Looks in fairly good nick but could do with a good clean-up.

Well he's just been out washing it, 1 bucket, sponge and probably Fairy Liquid. Looks exactly the same as it did before he started, except the brake dust streak marks running down his alloys now.

I just SO wanted to take my bag of detailing kit out and say "look lad, this is how you clean a car..."

Shame i've got a bad back lol....

What does the two bucket method actually mean?

One bucket of clean water and shampoo and one bucket of just clean water that you rinse your sponge in prior to reapplication of shampoo?

Spot on mate, though you should consider ditching your sponge in favour of a wool or microfibre wash mit, much better results.

    He has bought a Scooby?

God you're in for it. Within weeks it will have a 12" slash cut pipe on it that with no baffles and waking you up every morning.

Lovely motors, but the first mod is an exhaust. And it seems the louder the better! ARGH!
