    Default 1.9 cdti 150 - which oil

    Just a quick one, not had my car long and need to top the oil up
    Which do u ues 10/40?

    I know what type but dont know how much you want to pay, so put your reg in here for the options. As you only want a top up

    Depends what they used on the last service.

    If you check the service book, it should tell you below the stamp what viscosity they used.

    Most likely they used 5w40 fully syntheic if it was in interim service.
    Ideally you want 5w30 fully synth, but try not to mix up differnt viscosites of oil.

    Hence find out what was last put in there.

    Thats true, it said that the two types of oil effect the rubber gaskets in the engine if you keep switching them about.
