    Default tyres and spring help

Ok, just recently obtained some 19" alloys. they are going to be refurbed in the upcoming weeks.

I need to get hold of new suspension and new tyres. Just really want confirmation and advice.

My car is a vectra c elegance 2.2 Hatch (995kg front 980kg back)

I am hoping to get eibach springs, looking at lmf it appears to be

    item - 10-65-007-01-22

Can anyone tell me how low they should go. Also will be standard dampers be ok, or will i need to order b4's. I noticed a post earlier saying they had used eibach and dropped 35mm. If these are the wrong springs, which should i be using.

If i need b4's would these be correct.

    1 x VNE-B873
    1 x VNE-874
    2 x BNE-B875.

Now for the wheels. I am looking at Uniroyal Rainsports 2, after talking to ditchp. (Didnt have to nick your wheels after all)

I got a quote from a local tyre place for 235/35/19 and was told £135ish per corner balanced and fitted. Is the tyre size and cost about right?

    Nick

Vectra shocks won't last long, loweringsprings will wear them even sooner. B4's are a direct replacement for the std shocks.
The correct numbers are VNE-B873 and VNE-B874 for the fronts and BNE-B875 for the rears.
    The spring partnumber should also be correct (for Vectra C1.8, 2.0 Turbo, 2.2, 3.2, 1.9 CDTi, 2.2 Dti04.02 -10-65-007-01-22)

As for the tyres, i think thats a fair price. HTH

Thank you for the confirmation and product numbers Fly.

Will the eibach be ok on b4's if the are just oem replacements. I'm only going as far as 30mm drop.

Yes DitchP your wheels are safe, although nicking yours would by far be the cheapest option.

Picked my wheels up last saturday for a nice sum of £510

They arent perfect and i need to get them refurbed in anthracite. before i get tyres sorted.

do you know anyone for refurbing them also?

and another months wages gone in about 5 minutes.

I have come to the conclusion the more members i meet the more i spend and the more space i need.

    hehe

B4's will last alot longer than std shocks. Most members recommend the Eibach & B4 setup, they seem very happy with them although some say the B6's should be used.

wheels have gone for refurb today. Garage asked if i want tyres and offered to match my last quote of £135 for Uniroyals. But said they are crap tyres and are currently being superseded.

I asked him for prices per corner of tyres he recommends.

    TOYO T1R £172
    DUNLOP SPMAX £180
    FALKEN ( VERY GOOD TYRES ) £125
    PIRELLI £192
    UNIROYAL £135
    MICHELIN £235

    What do u think?
