Default Painting a VXR rear insert....

Probably a stupid question, but here goes..... I have ordered a VXR rear insert which comes primered, my question is - is it primered sufficiently to just start spraying with car colour (as I am gonna have a go myself) or does it need more prepping to get started

When I got mine, the coverage of the primer was rubbish, it needed another couple of coats befor colour TBH.

Think it all depends on what you get, when mine arrived it was actually very well primed, even the pro auto body shop that sprayed it were impressed that it had come from Vx that good, but still stuck on another layer, better safe than sorry an all that

Mine looked ok untill I rubbed it down then I found out that it must of had about 1 coat of primer so I gave it about 6 decent coats drying each coat with a heat gun and then Colour painted the next day
