i didnt fit a hid kit but i fitted new headlamps (angel eyes) and i was amazed at how easy it is to take the bumper off mate, if i was fitting a hid kit id be very tempted to take it off so you have plenty of room to do it rather than struggling in a tight space.

To be fair, taking the bumper off (for a pre-facelift) wouldn't make much difference. The room you need is directly behind the headlights (so only remove the bumper to take the lights out) but the job is dead easy with all body parts in situ

i didnt take my bumper off, just make sure you use a power probe in the origanal h7 headlight plug to find the live wire as the hid kits only have 2 wires and the plug on the car has 3 wires.

Bumper an headlights off, only takes half an hour at most, and you can then work on the wiring for the kit inside in the warm and dry....

me too,or you could remove the screws in the front wheel arches pull the bumper outwards an downwards and you can get to the bottom bolts on the headlights to remove them, no need to remove the bumper completly
