    Default Should I????

Had the car in for a service today (£106) and came back with news both rear springs have broken and rear suspension control arms have excessive play.
The positive spin is I can now get it lowered without the missus objecting so was giong to order all parts from LMF consisting of Spax springs all round and control arms .The question is should I replace the rear shocks with bilstien b4's at the same time while the garage has it apart or wait until the standard ones go (how long should standard ones last? My millage is 57k at mo)

    Cheers

The guys do all the work at very good price and said it is safe to drive as it is bottom coils that are broken and control arms are no biggy(apart from the noise) for driving round town. As the said m8 at least this way i get to make the desision on what springs I use and find at best price. They are quoting between £100 and £140 for rest of work and labour (tidying slight corrosion on brake line and sealing, fixing play in steering and fitting all parts i source)which i dont think is to bad .

If they're paying under warranty or just charging a fixed price get the best you can cause it involves no more work ie eibach or bilstein and could be a couple of years before you can deceive the wife again! Your not changing shockers though if they're ok? It's the springs that will drop it!

Wouldn't affect anything in a bad way. I assume it's B4's you are going for. You could do the fronts later if you wanted to
