    Default Still no news from 888.

    Haven't had any news from 888 this week and I don't think that can be a good sign. On top of that, I'm still having problems getting a new clutch. I have found two places that are willing to build one but they need an existing one to take measurements from and I can't get an old one anywhere. I don't want to shell out £215 for a new one because they wouldn't actually use it if they make me a new one.

    As if all that weren't enough, my LMF parts still haven't arrived and I was told they would be here this week last week.

    At least the sun is out, I'll give her a clean.

    I'm not sure exactly what, if you could get me them I'll find out. There are going to make new plates and diaphram spring.

    Not good because I'm still waiting to get mine remaped and they said they would ring me once a week to let me know what progress they have made.

    If your getting yours done then they are either using you as a guinea or they have given up on mine.

    I'll have a look for you. Make sure you stay organic plates though and not paddle.

    I spoke to Dave and they have just finished the software upgrade. I am going down on Thursday and being test dummy for the VXR springs.

    I will ask if you so wish?

    They were on about making a ceramic paddle plate with multiple plates. They recon it would be good to 400lbft like the Gearbox. What's the prob with paddles?

    Paddles are god awful to drive in a normal car and most likely kill the transmission.

    Problem being is that they are more violent on change. And as such driving normally is a nightmare.

    I have had them fitted on a few of my cars as it was all I could get. At the time. Organic plate is a full circle plate.

    Paddle. See there is less 'grip' if you see what I mean so more violent.

    Ok I could be interested as well.

    It's Thursday, nope won't be for a while. Needs to adapt to my driving style first you see. Plus got a few bits I need to fit Then back in the bodyshop.
