    Default I Cant Understand It

In my Omega, I had a 2005 single disc radio, and the sound quality was quite nice, now I have a 2006 multi disc/cassette? radio and the thing sounds awefull.

Is this speakers or are the radios now cheaper variants?

I'd be suprised if it's the speakers. The standard fit ones in the Vectra C are crackers normally, unless they down-specced them in newer models???

Have to agree with you on that one. i fitted a pioneer head unit to mine and the speakers are excellent even at loud volumes

Not being funny VV, but I think you need to take the cotton wool out of your ears!

I've got the CCR2006 in mine and it's definitely a better sounder than the 2005. As said above, and in other threads, the speakers are more than up to the job. Changing the HU will improve the sound, as people have found, without changing the speakers - but in standard guise, the 2006 is a pretty good sounding unit I'd say.

Yeah have to agree the 2006 is quite a good unit but change it for an aftermarket one and you can clearly hear the difference

I too have the 2006 and I think the sound is very good, I am pleased with it.

I also had a 2005 in my Omega, and I've got the 2006 in the Siggy.
I think the Omega had slightly better acoustics, because it had a cleaner sound, IMHO. The Siggy seems to have more bass, though.
I wouldn't say the sound was pants, though.

Think you kind of hit the nail on the head there Phil. The cabin size, shape and materials will have quite a big impact on the sound. Put identical gear in a Vectra, Omega and Signum and they'll sound entirely different.

My wife has an Astra convertible and because of the way the roof is built it's nearly impossible to make anything sound decent in there.

Did your Omega have the Harmon Kardon upgrade in it?
