    Angry Running report

Well as most of you know ive recently got myself a new Veccy after giving the "Vectaru" to Mrs D.
Iv'e had the car for 6 weeks now and out of the 6 its been in the dealers for half of that time to try and fix the various faults.
When i bought the car the deal was to do a 40,000 mile service on the car although its only done 35000 two days later whilst i was cleaning the car "properly" i noticed a few faults
    1. Oil in the header tank
    2. rather bad knocking from the front
    3. noisey rear wheel bearing
    4. rear indicator bulb on the display

So i took it back to the dealers on the monday and said "did you give my car a 40K service as asked"
    "Yes" said the girl
"so how come you didnt find all these faults with the car then"
"er um er um i dont know lets book it in "
    "good idea" says me

A few days later the car goes in to have the work done as i was working away it was a week before i picked it up

    "is it all done"
"yes sir except the wheel bearings its got to have both rear changed"
"Oh and the anti roll bar bushes"

"so youve had my car for a week and done just what to it"
"Well weve cleaned the header tank out and fitted a new oil pressure switch and changed the front drop links Oh and weve put a new bulb in the indicator for you"

So another week passes and the car goes in to have the rest of the work done .........But to add to the list the service light is now coming on and the rear indicator fault warning is still coming on !!!!!!

So a few days later i go to get my car all done ..........................

Within 6 miles the rear wheel bearings are noisey the indicator light is still showing a warning and there is greasey paw prints all over the bonnet As i was on my way to take my mum shopping i couldnt take it straight back

So later that day im putting on the rear mud flaps that i had bought and ferk me the HANDBRAKE cable on one side was not connected

Needless to say i was at the garage the next morning asking them why this was so and they didnt know so i asked them to reconnect it when it came back in for its 3rd rear wheel bearing and other stuff to be fixed "properly"

As i had to go away again with work it was a few days before it went in to have the work done and when i was handing over the keys the service manager says to the girl had we better order another wheel bearing for this and then scuttled off when he saw that i was less than impressed

two days later i picked it up with yet another wheel bearing replaced and a new bulb holder on the rear lamp to be told by the service manager that they will have to order a new "something " for the hand brake "but just leave it in gear when you park and it will be alright"

Now as those of you who have met me will know im a fairly placide guy but im starting to lose my temper a bit ive been in touch with customer services for the dealer network but am still waiting for a reply from them and im still waiting for my "SOMETHING" for the handbrake

sorry to rant and rave but i needed to get it off my chest

cheers for sticking with the long story CHRIS

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

That 'something' will probably be the clip that joins the main cable to the small cable that goes to the caliper. They are very tinny and rot off

Hey Ho, some are good, some are bad.

My local stealer crawls are over the car, gagging to find something wrong, so that they can make more out of either, you or Vauxhall.
