very nice thank you! engine rock solid, but keep an eye on the tax! plenty of options on "upgrading" the power if interested (since having one, cant understand why it was not around the 200bhp mark as standard??), no cam belt (chain) lovely subtle noise from the exhaust go test-drive one!

Couldn't have put it better myself;you know you want one. The engine is a absolute gem.

The reason it wasn't released with 200+ as standard is to do with marketing. At the time the flagship Vectra was the Gsi with 208bhp, and the 2.0T with 200+ bhp would have been too close to it power-wise. But with a remap like mine you can go there.

Out of curiosity what Tax Band does the 2.0T fall into and how much annually?

Tax band is F I think (between 186 and 225 gm/Kg). My pre-facelift hatch is 214 gm/Kg whereas the facelift is less, 204 gm/Kg I think. The estates, Signums and those fitted with 19" wheels are a bit higher, but still within the same tax band. Tax is £210, going up to £215, as the government suspended the scheduled tax increase to £300 for a year.

Remap cost me £500 (a group buy on here) current price is about £560. If you like the car, and want more power and an even smoother quicker power delivery, then for less than £600 for a 20% increase in power and torque it's a no-brainer.
