    Default New CPU required

Can anybody tell me where I can get one of the following at the cheapest price possible, I'm on a budget and there's a recession on you know...
I'm after an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+, 4400+, 4600+ or 4800+ Socket 939 processor. I've upgraded my system to a Blu-Ray player and a GeForce 9 9500 GT video card but the processor is slightly on the slow side and the picture becomes jumpy if I have ANYTHING running in the background lol. I currently have an AMD Athlon 64 3700+. The minimum recommended by AMD is a 3800+. So I've got to bite the bullet. Any help appreciated guys

I always use either Aria or ebuyer.. Never had a problem with either of them
Forgot about Overclockers who are also really good and delivery is really quick (if your impatient for new toys like me )

hmm, i see what you're saying - those older processors aren't readily available now, it looks like. I like Dabs.com, but they haven't got any of those anymore.
    Ebay? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AMD-Athlon-64-...3A1|240%3A1318

That ones no good, that's socket AM2, the modern stuff lol. I have found a 4400+ socket 939 on ebay for £85 BIN so might just go for that. I would love an FX60 but you're talking £200 second hand

Right well, being the impatient type that I am I've just bought THIS one off the bay. Should do the trick and make my Blu-Rays seamless. Well I hope so anyway

I'd be careful of purchasing processors on ebay
Contact the buyer to check and confirm the specification
I was looking for a specific Pentium processor, the description matched what I was after, however the part number did not
Clarification with the seller confirmed they were selling the item with the wrong description
