    Default Camera testing

Been trying out my new Canon 350D, quite chuffed with the results of my first session with it. Car could be a bit shinier and the light better. All pics shrunk down from 3000 odd pixels to 1024 wide and compressed as .jpg's down from about 3Mb each to under 100Kb, what do you think?

Eh!?, what!?, since when!? Got your PM about those lenses m8, will zip back my thoughts/opinions on them.

That location could look stunning with the right light - sunset would be probably a good one. Great thing with digital is that you can do loads of testing/practising and not waste loadsamoney on film and processing.

Don't know if you've seen the 'Quick guide to car photography' I did? Not trying to tell you how to take photos or anything , but there may be some pointers in there that help?

Look forward to seeing more piccies m8.

Loads of catching up to do yet

It's good location for shoots, they've recently done some work on the parking area (used to be a mud bath). Looks great later in the year with a bit of green about. Only trouble is as you can probably see from the pics, local yobs keep setting fire to the grass. Sunset/sunrise should provide some much better light conditions and will be popping back later to suss it out. Memory card arrived so just had to go and do some snaps, you know how it is! lol

I did read your guuide a while back and it is excellent, shall be reading it again after posting!

Used to be semi-pro with a bit of freelancing going on many moons ago, have to knuckle down and get some practice in again.

Thanks Harry, I think a UV or better still a polarizing filter would have made that better by giving the sky a bit more colour depth and accentuating the clouds a little. Fairly pleased with the composition on that one though (apart from the rough tarmac in the bottom right corner).

On a less hazy day, the hillsides in the distance look quite good as they have some mining works/slagheap to add a bit of interest.

Have you got RAW files of those Spikey? If you have, and you fancy it, I could run one through my fancy software - let you see what it can do. It should be able to enhance that pic.

If you fancy it, send it to my vectra-c.com address (my user name in front).
