    Default Rear Fog Lamp

Dont think mine works was doing a lights check, tried it tonight, put my sidelights on, pressed the button to the left of it with the picture of a "squiggly line and a D shape on it" and the switch didnt become any brighter or a symbol light up in the instrument panel/speedo bit,

so I got someone to press the button on and off and I went round the back of the car to have a look, none of my lights came on or got any brighter, etc. the only 2 that were on were the 2 red ones directly below the grey indicator 1, obviously 1 was for the parking brake, and 1 for the tail lamps,

    any ideas??

tbh I didnt see anywhere on the instrument panel or on the switch itself that could light up to let the driver know it was on, bit worried that my 11 month old car doesnt have it working but my 9 year old mk3 astra's rear fog still works spot on.

Should have a light come on, on the dash. Did you have headlights on dip? The fog will not work unless your lights are on dipped or mains.

As stated above, you need the headlights on not just the sidelights.

It won't work with sidelights only matey. You'll need dipped beam or main beam.

Or if you have front foglamps on, (if they're fitted, of course) they will come on without the headlamps on.

Yeah mate, front fog lights will come on with the sidelights but the rear fog light requires headlight dipped beam minimum.

But as I'm sure we're all aware, that's illegal unless in poor visibility (under 100m).
