    Default Self Mapping ideas?

    Decided against an extra box.
ECU remapping sounds like it could get overridden when going in for a service and your stuck with it anyway.
The ST3 has 2 ECU maps plus a third that can revert to standard if required.

    Similarly the V-Switch

Problem is that I have a 3.0 SRI CDTI and can't find something that is similar. I have a company lookin into it but has anyone with a 3.0 CDTI found anything similar?
    Cheers

I think that the 3.0cdti has problems with a fragile / sensitive fuel pump, I seem to recall that a few remappers won't remap the 3.0cdti because of this.. Have you done a search on here?

I've tried everywhere Pete. Loads of places will chip or supply an ad-on box but I can't find anyone who supplies a self mapping so I can reset to normal or change from economy to performance etc after a service.

Strangly enough, I had Vx flash my ECU with the latest update when I had the engine change and it did not remove the remap. So what does that mean? I have an EDC16C9 ECU for the record.

Leave the V6CDTi standard. It's not just fuel pumps that are fragile, the whole engine is. Overheating oil when driven hard can cause complete engine failure, when standard too. Giving it more power won't do it any good...
