    Default Wifes car now gone--she wants a mini

    Any thoughts on these car my budget speaks that can afford a 51/52 plate or even a cat d,not my cup of tea to be honest but who am i to speak i am only the slave!!

    The first (BMW) Mini's had many problems mate, check to see if the ones you look at have had the recall work done, there were various electrical issues and the front window coming out/cracking too.

    my mate just got a 52 plate 1.6 supercharged one and took me out in it and i must say holly sh*t there fast, and it handled like it was on rails.

    I beleive the s has a good performance but just the cooper or one will be fast enough for my good lady.

    My Mrs has the mini one and she loves it no probs so far and its a 52 plate, 80k on the clock, she has had it a year now

    My mum bought an 05 plate mini cooper. Fantastic little car. Pretty quick, handles well, fun to drive. Only had it a year so cant comment on reliabilty yet.

    seem to be expensive imo, but the sporty ones look good! is it worth looking at (cheaper) alternatives or is she stuck on them ?

    They are expensive because they hold their value well. Not my cup of tea but I can see why people like them.
