    Default Alloy touch up kit.

As previsouly mentioned for the sake of the huge sum of £6.24 I've bought a touch up kit from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ALLOYZ-SALES

This guy also refurbs Alloys. See http://www.alloyz.net/

What arrived is JUST a plain bottle containing the paint. He'd confirmed by email it was the correct shade along with instructions. Good - I'm not paying for brushes, wet 'n' dry etc... that I already have but instead I'm getting a decent amount of paint.

As the scuffs on my wheels are quite deep it's a process of several applications to build the layers up. The paint seems to be an exact match. You can still see the scuffs but I think it's because the wheels are reflective & I haven't yet built the paint up to fill the gouges & T-cutted it back smooth.

Before someone says I've taken a before pic but will post it along with the after pic when I've finished - in a couple of days... weather permitting.

If this works well it's a bargain at six odd quid. Back breaking work on your hands and knees with a small artists brush though - but (unless you've got a ramp or you take the wheels off) it would be anyway.

Well here's the "before" pic. 3rd coat applied on Wednesday but it was peeing down on Thu. One more coat should do it followed by a bit of TLC with some T-Cut. Will let y'all know how it turns out (with pics). There's still LOADS of paint left so if it works.... for six quid (and a sore back & knees) it's a bargain!!

Took several applications to build the layers up. I'm just waiting for a nice warm, dry day to get busy with the T-cut & then I'll let you all know!

Now T-cutted the paint has taken a darker finish. Before cutting back it was the same shade but you could see it due to it not being smooth. I think the trick is going to be a final application of a very thin layer of paint to bring the colour back. My fingers are knackered from T-cutting so I won't be doing that today as I want a steady hand!!

I'll post how it comes up & my final verdict of whether it's £6 well spent.
Left is before. Right is after.
