Can-bus and head unit questions

As some know I bought vec c estate club on epay (pics to follow) the head unit has been changed to a dvd flipout, not sure I like it and no steering controls, the car is full can bus and has the trip comp display which I thought the club never had, anyway what vx head unit will be compatible with the display and the car, i think it had a cd30 before, had a looky on epay and some of the cd30's look diffrent.

Steve its an 04 pre facelift with the scroll wheels on steering, has the larger display but the basic dot type, is it gid tid bid turd!!!

What about a cd40 opera with its paired display? and would it need de coded?

The CD40 came out late 2004.

yes I think it is, but does it not just need to be full can-bus? just seen yours on ebay, what have you put in its place? I guess that will make a few hundred

I put the CD70 colour in.

Whatever it makes it makes, not much interest so far.

Any full canbus stereo will work as long as you get stereo and display there will be no tech2 issues,How ever if your just buying a new HU then you my or my not have problems getting screen paired with new stereo
