    Default retrofitting electric rear windows

right ive read every post regarding my question and although its been asked before,no one has actually answered it ?

my vectra is a facelift sri, its only got 1 wire in the loom so theres no chance of "properly" fitting electric rear windows........

but ! if im not bothered about being able to open/close them from the drivers switch, could i run a live feed into the rear doors and then be able to use the rear switches to work the motors ?

to put it simple : are the wires that come from the rear switches connected directly to the motors,or do they go out of the rear doors and come back in and then go to the motors ?

if there not connected directly from the switches to the motors, would it be ok to re route them without causing a fire risk

final question, if this method was possible, would the 1 touch up/down still work from the switches of is this controlled from the module ?

please please please can someone only answer these questions without asking more questions in this thread .....if you know what i mean ?

i think once these questions are answered it will help soooooo many other members with facelift models .

    thanks guys, lollypop

    Probably, yes.

Why not try them out of the car first, with just the rear switches connected and power to the main live, switch live and earth connected?

if you get the wires the right way round to the swich and the motor yeah it should work fine, not sure about the one touch though.
as for a fire risk a simple in-line fuse at the point you take the live feed from will be enough to eliminate any fire risk, aslong as the fuse you choose isnt to high of an ampage. HTH. mick.
