    Default PC speakers - suggestions..

Im after a new pair of speakers for my computer. I currently have a set with a sub woofer and 5 speakers and 5.1 sound but I am sick of all of the wires and they are all a bit knackered now.
I want a pair of speakers without a subwoofer that sound good and are loud. I want them for playing music and watching films.
Anyone on here got any suggestions?
    Cheers

Depends on how much you wan't to spend? my audio speakers cost £500 each and have two amps built in.

One drives the seven inch sub and the other the mid range and if next door turns his up? i turn mine on then he goes out

And mine are High Definition and when its a war film you are in the dam war, when its music your pumping the bass and hearing the music as it was meant to be.

i have a suround sound system which i bought from asda, which cost £30,i watch tv on my computer and they are very effective, you only have one speaker cable out the back of the computer, yes you do have a sub and yes you do have 5 other speakers,i have had my system for a few years now (i paid £50 for it then),to give you some idea i watch the bill,in one episode there was scene where the officers were at the bottom of a block of flats by the stairs, there was someone walking down the stairs and the echo was actualy correct in its effect, apart from the small screen sometimes it is better to watch tv on the pc
