    Default Off into hospital tomorrow.

Been having some major grief with my right knee for the last year or so, so finally going into hospital tomorrow for some keyhole surgery.

They said they'll go in from both sides of the knee plus in behind the knee cap, have a look around, remove any ligament that's floating around as that's what is giving me the pain and the clicking, wash it out and job done.

So for the next 3-4 weeks i'll be in my backside doing diddly squat! (If i had a post count, i'd probably make Master by the end of April)!

So wish me luck guys. I'm not the best when it comes to blood and stuff but i'm gonna ask the surgeon if i can keep anything he might remove and in line with this sites policy, there will be pictures!!!

    Paul.

good luck mate- my wife has had the same operation 2 times in the last 2 years and they still havent managed to resolve her problems - she needs a new knee but they wont let her have one because she's too young at 36 and would wear it out
be prewarned they probably wont let you out without being able to walk to the end of the ward unassisted - get a bed by the door

Good luck feller, hope all goes well.

My wife has had both knee joints replaced with the right one being done a second time, and she is still in pain and has to use sticks.

It sounds like they are cleaning out the cartledge, and checking for anything that may restrict the joint. IME always better to keep your own joints rather than have them replaced if possible. I have one that gives me a little discomfort and clicks loudly, the other one I just oil occasionally (joking) I lost it while in Ireland, but at least it gives me no trouble. lol

    Best of luck.
