clutch problem?

well, i have the 150 1.9cdti engine in my veccy. it has done about 80000km until now (50k miles roughly) and that isn't that much imo. today i experienced very unpleasant thing while overtaking.
i stretched it a bit in second gear until 4,5k rpm and then shifted into 3rd gear. naturally, rpm were about at 3k at that moment. when i pressed accelerator pedal rpm just jumped rapidly while car wasn't accelerating, like if i was holding clutch and pressing accelerator, and it didnt accelerate!
i've tried to shift into 4th and then back 3rd and it did the same thing, after pressing the pedal revs just flew into red area without and change in speed..

luckily a big truck wasnt heading towards me while i was (trying) overtaking, it could end really bad

so, does the clutch need replacing or what could it be?

Sounds like a slipping clutch to me.

Today I've noticed that my V6CDTi makes some sort of judder when setting off. It does that only from a standstill. No judders between gearchanges. I guess the clutch is on its way out as is the flywheel.

it might be it, i'll have to ask my mechanic..

any other thoughts about this one? really noone knows what could it be?

It will be the dmf and clutch - you have to inspect both - you may get away with clutch but at that mileage worth chaining the dmf if you can get one at a reasonable price

The DMF will eventually take the clutch out if it's knackered.

But in another thread you say that you have 'fuelling issues',and what you describe above does very much sound like the HP pump packing in.

Let's hope it's not the HP pump. If it is I might as well put a p-box on to kill it the quick way
