Default Servicing costs for 2.2 SRi Vectra

I was wondering what to expect to pay to have my '54 Vectra 2.2 Direct Sri serviced by a Vauxhall dealer, taking into account those little extra's that they don't always tell you about like changing brake fluid, anti-freeze, air-con service etc, and how it compares to using an independent garage or doing it myself (I know doing it myself will be cheaper, but sometimes I can spare the money and not the time). I know from experience that the price quoted over the phone usually fails to include those 'ah, but at 40,000 miles you also need to pay for this, that and the other'. I bought my car on Friday with 38,000 miles, and the garage did what they call a sevice, but didn't put in Vauxhall grade oil so I have to get it done again soon.

    Thanks

You'll be talking between £150 - £200 for a full service from a Dealer mate. If you find a Bosch service centre, they can usually beat the dealer and because they follow the manufacturers service schedule (and use oe parts) your manufacturers guarantee will still be in tact.

Thanks. Thats not a bad price considering what I was paying for my Nissan (£170-£350 every 12k).

I always get a quote printed out from the dealers first and expect them to stick to it.
Think you will find VXL servicing to be quite reasonable really.

I was quoted £195 for my 2.2, but that didn't include aircon or brake fluid change or spark plugs, so was probably looking at nearer £300 all told.

I decided to do it myself!!
