    Default Vandalism rules okay...

Look what some little darling left on the bonnet of my Vec...

If I had got my hands on the little dears, they'd be in a morgue.

How can I get rid of this? Will a rag soaked with a little celly thinners shift it without damaging the paintwork underneath or do I need to use a different approach? Would AG paint renovator shift it? T-Cut?

    So happy!

I'd take it to a body shop - just to be safe. Shouldn't cost much to fix!

I've been using this polish for 5 years now but only as a polish, NOT as a waterless wash. http://www.netparts.co.uk/store/inde...products_id=56

Now the interesting bit which might help you.........

This stuff is currently being marketed on the Ideal World shopping channel as "Showroom Shine". One of the demos they do is to spray gloss car paint (white as it happens) onto a bonnet that has been previously waxed (I guess yours has?). The paint is then left to dry for 1/2 hour under the studio lights. They then spray copious quantities of Showroom Shine onto the paint and rub it in with their fingers. After about 20 seconds, the gloss paint lifts and is then just rubbed off with a micro cloth - nothing abrasive involved.

I've used it to remove big tar spots with no damage to the metallic laquer.

    HTH.

If it cost £00.00, then I could afford it but it won't. It'll be DIY or nowt.

What nature of compound? Do you mean T-Cut or similar? Would AG Paint Renovator shift it? If you could let me know a product name, then I shall get hold of some.

It does look like some sort of crappy aerosol spray.

    Cheers for the replies.
