Rear Brake Pads

Folks, I've just changed my rear brake pads on my 2.0 Dti. But the one's I put on are different from the ones I took off. The original's one inside slide onto the piston and the replacements just sit in the caliper and have a butterfly spring on top. Are these OK ????

i belive there are 2 types of brake pads for the veccy

The Haynes manual shows the photo of the rear brake pad and its the same as the ones I've put on and the rear caliper is identical. My concerns are do the new pads effect the braking ???
