Default couple of warranty related questions

first off im chuffed with the car but not so chuffed with grinding noise coming from offside front when turning left i suspect the wheel bearing is goosed ,also upon removal of the snowflakes too clean them i noticed 2 had a crack in them at the back so im wondering if vauxhall would replace them under warranty and indeed if the bearings are covered too,the factory warranty runs out in october and car has done 58k miles

Bit of a contradictory statement there matey.. But know what you mean.

I'm almost 100% certain they will do nothing with the wheel damage ie. cracks as its fairly certain they will blame that on yourself or the previous owners hitting pot holes etc. Its always worth asking them, you may be lucky.

You should however be able to get the wheel bearing replaced under warranty without a problem.

The wheels are covered, but only for manufacturing defects
Wear and tear is NOT included

The usual process is to reject the claim
    You then complain
The wheels are then removed and sent for NDT examination, which can take between 4 and 6 weeks
If the result of that is confirmed as "wear and tear", then you are liable for the costs of that test (so make sure you ask how much it will be first!)

How long ago did you buy it..

you will find alot of things will be covered under the sales of goods act.

If he sold you the car and didnt mention the aircon was not working 100% he has to fix that too.

Dont worry... your covered to high heaven...

Ah right. Yep the supposed checks are a joke but it gives you a lot more come back including rejecting the car within 30 days which tends to get things moving.

Anyway that's a non starter. How did you get on at AC?
