    Default Remapping 1.9 (8V) cdti 120

What would a realistic power be to remap a 120ps Vectra Sri 1.9cdti to? I have seen some companies say they can remap the engine to 170ps and some around 145ps but I think this could be too much. Would I beable to remap it to the same power as the 150ps 16V version with no problems or serious wear and tear on the transmission?

You should be able to get 150 from it, 170 sounds a bit optomistic.. here's a chart from BSR (for info), TorquingBHP will also be able to do this for you as will as the likes of EDS, VXRPC etc..

Rich, if you take a little drive to Cambridge, which isnt very far from brum, Darrel @ TorquingBHP would do it for £299, (£299 may be for the 150 though, the 120 may be cheaper) Look in the approved trader section.. He's a very knowledgable guy and very helpful..
Bsr PPC will cost you around £550, but you can take it off when you want (not much need if the cars out of VX warranty)..

how much torque would i get by remapping to tolerant levels? I think in stock the 8 valve version is 206lb of torque, according to parkers guide anyway. Also would remapping the engine mean that when I get the car serviced, the vauxhall ecu updates that they do could wipe the remap off? the car is out of warranty by the way.

my mate maca has a tuning box on his car and iirc it puts out 162bhp and its a 120 model,i know you want a remap but boxes often give slightly more power and are cheaper too, just another option for you

The power figures are listed in the pics above, although its nm not lbs, as for ecu updates, a good remapper would be aware that dealers may have to do an update at some point and they wuld be able to either give you a copy of your map data or keep a copy themselves to reinstall if that happens..

i think i might ebay my dtuk green box and put the rest as its pretty fast with the box on it but it takes too long for the turbo to spool up, cheers for that m8

sorry if its a daft question but will a proper remap make it boost more
