GSI info required please

Well today I went and had a look at a 54 plate GSI and was surprised how many toys had been taken off it. My 04 plate SRI is better specced.

But the question what year offers the best spec level. What sort of price should I be looking at paying and what are they like on fuel and economy.

I won't be selling the SRI cause I really like it, the GSI would be more a weekend kinda car. More to the point it might be my 40th birthday present after the year I've had. Or if I'm prepared to wait until christmas I might just swing it for a VXR.

Any other alternatives around the price and spec of the GSI, no diesels.

i think things started going missing from 04 onwards

up to 4k for a good 53 plate 27mpg steady driving or 21 mpg for a town car.

if u have the money go for the VXR buts its more in road tax and repair bills.

or go for the 2.0T big gains in remaps.

I am really moving towards the 2.0t but do like the sound track of a V6 engine, The one I was looking at was a 54 plate going for £3995.
