    Default Chester Military Museum

    Hi everyone,

I'm off work this week .

So I took the Mrs & kids to Chester today, she walked round the shops, me & my son Matt went to the above mentioned museum.

Fan ****** tastic, steeped in history & great to talk to the guys there running it.

I've visited a few of these type of museums around the country & they always leave me awe inspired at what these people did & are still doing.

It was a great run as well, I headed up the A41 to Whitchurch, then on to Chester.

Some high speed & some behind slower vehicles, then flooring it on the Dual Carriageways, very nice mixed driving.

A top day out (weather was sh*te though) but you can't have everything. lol

The Staffordshires museum in Lichfield is another. It's only small but really atmospheric & informative. The guys in there had some experiences as well I can tell you. Amazing, & very humbling as well.

    I'm planning visits soon to:-

    Duxford

Imperial war museum in London. (We were by it on Saturday but didn't have enough time to go in)

Well i've been to Hull and back

Sounds awesome mate. I love that type of thing. I am going to try to get back to Duxford soon, haven't been there for a while.

Had the option to get flying lessons when younger in my first job before the days of cars and houses and unfortunately the pub had a stronger pull Shame...

    It's by the racecourse mate.
