    Default Locking Wheel Nutssss

    Oh Nutssss. My wheel nut socket has sheared, Vx want the nut number or something. Anyone know exactly where this is to be found?

    If you have the box that the locking nuts came in, the number will be on a card inside the box.

    However, if you don't have the box, you'll have to get the locking nuts sheared off and replaced at the dealer... I had to do that once...

    If None Of The Above Works, Phone Vx They Should Have A Record On Computer Of Your Locking Wheels And Radio Codes.

    If Not Get The Grinder Out And A Big Hammer.....lol

    I though i slung out the wheel nut box, but found it. No card inside

    Vx didnt mention anything about being able to look it up on the computer either. Will have to ask tomorrow i guess

    They told me that there was no code held on database for locking nuts... my dealer insisted that the only option was to force them off and replace with a new set.

    Another way is to weld a normal nut to the locking one, and then remove in the usual way. You should be able to hammer a good solid socket over the top and turn them off. I've done that before, using a impact socket as they are MUCH stronger than normal types, and don't crack.

    Locking wheel nuts are supplied & fitted by the dealer on PDi so there is no way of VX having a record of key number.

    Its on the car pass, if you ain't got it for whatever reason >Vx dealer > Logbook > proof of ID . order it.
