    Default Secondment at work

I may be starting a 6 month minimum secondment with work.

I would be given either a pool car of hire car for the length of the secondment.

So no point selling my car:

    My questions is:

What do I do with my car insurance?
Can I reduce the mileage down to say 1000 to save money?

    Any advice

    Thanks

I wouldn't cancel the insurance. Not unless you've got a big dog. It might get nicked...

if you have no intention to drive the car on the road and can keep the car off road you can buy a fire and theft policy,if you were to canvel your insurance your NCB would still be valid for 2 years before it lapses

I used to work for Direct Line. As solorider said, you should be able to reduce the cover to "Fire and Theft" cover only.
The policy then just runs it course until reneal
