    Default Noooooo...Scratch and scrape tastic!

Trying to reverse in the tightest of underground car parks, Ive managed to scrape my nearside rear wheel arch, door handle and a tiny bit on the door panel! Cant believe it and soooo annoyed but my own stupid fault!! Ive just looked at SMART repair in south wales, can anyone recommend one and how do you think they will do with it?

The wheelarch scrape is about 6 inches long not down to the metal though, door handle Im sure I can replace not too expensively but the door panel has a flake down to the metal.

Someone please tell me it will be alright and wont cost me the earth!!

No more parking underground for me.

    Will get pics up later!

Man that really sucks. I did that on an old car, just makes your heart sink.

Id like to tell you it'd be a really cheap fix, but I think to get that resprayed, you are looking into the low hundreds of pounds, possibly between £150-£300ish to get a decent job done. If they do it properly, they will probably respray the whole area of each panel. Anyway cant give you a better estimate as.....

Cheers for the post Ben, my heart did indeed sink. Am I right in thinking the wheel arch is plastic, certainly feels that way! Ive used a bit of t cut on the area and its masked it...a bit! If I can get it done for uner £200 Id be happy to be honest. Might look for a local body repair place if SMART repair wont do it.

I'm not sure actually. Has the wheel arch scratch gone down to the primer? If not, then thats a fairly simple and cheap fix. It's the scratch down o the metal that will be harder to fix as it will require rubbing back down to the metal and respraying most of that panel. Door handle I'd go looking through scrap yards for a new one

Yeah its down to the primer unfortunately! Well say primer, its the white colour underneath the paint!! The door handle isnt too noticeable atually so I wont worry about that. Got a body repair place round the corner so ill nip in there tomorrow and see what they say. Shes my newish baby, cant have her being left scratched!

And ive just seen on ebay you can get door handle covers, thats one part sorted then!

Ignore me, they look like internal door handle covers!
