    Default fifth gear

    Anyone watching 5th gear tonight??

    A detailing fella that does a 61 stage clean and one of his products a 6k tub of wax

    I have been reading about detailing over the last few days on detailing world but i neve realised you could go this far with it

    Damn, you beat me to it LOL. 6 grand for 1 tub, there is only two in the country and that guy has both of them. Oh and he applies it very sparingly (as you can imagine) by hand (I mean by hand, no cloths nothing), like your wife putting her moisturiser on

    LOL @rushy

    he has also been signed up by 2 bugatti veyron owners for the full 61 stage detail..think the figure mentioned was around the 5 grand mark

    Its starting to interest me the detailing side of things, im going to buy a basic kit and see how i get on...oh need to get my car back from the garage first

    Couple of threads on detailing world on this - mainly that he uses a sponge and one bucket to wash the car rather than 2 and a lambswool mitt. Some very unimpressed people on DW.

    You know i did wonder about this when i seen it. I have been reading about the detailing side of things over the last few days and EVERYONE says use the 2 bucket method. Yet this fella is getting paid a shedload while working on some of the finest cars in the world and he is using 1 bucket and a sponge.

    I also noticed he was just using a grinder with pads on for polishing. Any idea where i could get adapters/pads for this as ive got the very same model of makita at work
