    Default Tech2 diag

    I have been quoted £50 from my local vx dealer to diag a problem on my car is that a good or bad price

    Thats about the going rate if thats with VAT TBH. I think my dealer charged me £44. There's no guarantee that they'll find the fault. The normal answer is " No fault found ". Unless you have an error code or warning light on the dash.

    Sure there some one near you with a code reader that could help you out

    around £40 here, a v good reason to buy a code reader, it will have paid for itself ! & to pay that much to be told "no fault found" ? takes the mick..
