I was just wondering does anyone know many miles roughly a 1.8vvt can do when the fuel light is flashing? I am about 2.5 miles away from the garage and the range is only showing 1 mile do you think i will make it?

all of my cars have done 30 miles after the ranfge has gone to zero,ignore the range and look at the gauge

If not look on the bright side, only 1.5 miles to walk!!!!
Hope you make it mate, you should do, keep an eye on the guage rather than the range

Stick it in neutral and let it roll there, and watch the range go back up slightly!!!

My range was showin 30 miles before, and the fuel light wasnt even on. From what I understand, its the range til you hit the reserve fuel.

Watch the gauge, not the range!

That uses more fuel than than "coasting" in gear. Fast as you can to 60 and then put it in top and feet off the pedals. Go on, you know you want too

Im going to go for it!!! the only thing is it will be at 5 oclock rush hour traffic The guage is on 0 but a lot of the way is down hill

I know that too, but its going to be better than stop starting in gear-which inevitably will use more?
