Default Guesses on Ex-Demo prices for Diesel Tourers later this year?

    Hi all,

Whilst I like the front, sides and inside of the Insignia I have not yet 'warmed' to its rear end.

Having had 3 Signums over the last 4 years I have recently bought a Peugeot 407 SW 2.0Hdi Sport as this was my best alternative at the time (I also have to add that it has certainly proved to be a great all round motor to date!)

However, looking forward another 10 - 12 months I will be looking to change again, and would seriously be hoping to consider the 160BHP Insignia Tourer (probably Elite or Sri NAV models).

Considering that some Insignia Tourers are being advertised now with good savings (http://www.astonvauxhall.co.uk/vauxh...s-insignia.htm), I would imagine that I should be able to pick one up when I am ready for between £12000 - £14000 (i.e. a 3 - 6 month old 1 owner vehicle / ex-demo with less than say 1000 miles on it)

    Any thoughts?

    Dave

I think it'll be more like 17995 for an Elite and 16995 for an SE tbh.

Sorry, did mean under 10000 miles and not under 1000!

VV, I would hope that I am closer than you are - will be cheaper for me!

As it seems you can pick up a NEW Sri (albeit not NAV model) now for £17991 I would think that, if the market stays the same as it is now, they have some free falling to do in price - like a lot of other things will.

The Insignia Tourer seems fairly similar priced to the Siggy was a couple of years ago, with 3-6 month old Elites (1.9 150BHP) being available from anywhere between £13500 - £16000, and that was when the economy was fairly stable.

I guess only time will tell, will just have to keep eyes on it.

I'm quite happy to be wrong tbh, but the estate Vec always held it's price a lot better than the hatch, I know if you know what you are doing you can virtually buy a new one for what I said, but dealers don't like you to know that, and that's what I predict the going rate for these two will be in 6 mths time with 5k on them, can't see them sub 10k for 2 years tbh, but as I said I'll happily be wrong.

    Hi VV,

I will be happy if you are wrong too! lol

I would also guess quite a few others will - we will just have to wait and see how things go over the next 12 months.
