    Lightbulb Harsh Steering

Hi, all. Bit of a newbie, on here.
I bought a 04 Vectra, 3 litre V6 Diesel, last Oct. The car itself, is going fine, but I still find the steering a bit harsh. The slightest movement on the wheel seems gets a rather severe response, as if there is no play, at all on the wheel.

Is this common on these cars?

since fitting the bigger tyres, my steering feels very heavy, even more so driving the car after driving a bus for 8 hours, they have the lightest steering ever
