    confused wishbone next???

hi all, today i changed the o/s front arb bush and drop link succesfully hoping it would cure the problem......but it didnt! the problem i have is when going over speed bumps or uneven roads there is a noise from the front o/s which seems to be a grinding, metal on metal noise (difficult to describe!) so next i think i will change the wishbone, vx want £180+vat but after looking on ebay can get one for around £60, is there much differnce in aftermarket quality? the next question is if i change the wishbone abd and the noise is still there what next. by the way took the car to vx and the said there was no fault! maybe if they took it for a road test rather than sticking it on a ramp may help. all advice apprciated.

sounds like it could be the spring rubbing in the cup on the shock, have you got the sleeve on the spring where it sits on the shock

yes m8, have you had the springs changed before??

jack it back up to see if there is a sleeve on the end of the bottom coil of the spring, if not get 2 from the dealers and fit them to see if that works, as it will be alot cheaper

do you mean the front o/s wishbone where the noise is, or the rear wishbone i.e back of car(rear wheel)?
