French questions about signum

Hi everyone,

First, I want to tell you that I'm french, so.......

Sorry for my bad english...

I've got some questions, and the real problem is that I can't do "good" research in this forum (because of my native language ;-) )....

I hope that someone will help me, anwering me or giving me links to posts...

My car is a signum 3.0 V6 CDTI (12/2005, last model) with 82000 KM

My "questions":

- I've got a problem in my car, when I drive "fast", temperature grow to red area, and I loose "water to refrsh the engine".
There isn't any "hole" in the system, so it seems to be the engine itself...
Is there any similar problem here?

- How can I do to "upgrade" my engine? I've read about air admission modification, what can I do? (I will remap later....)

- About ECU...
I've got DVD90 genuine headunit, and I really want to change it, but as it manage all the fonction af the car (consumption, tire pression, park pilot,.....) How can I do?
As the button are on it, how can I change it?
Maybe put another headunit in glove box, but How can I do to keep speakers for the 2 systems (for navigation, park pilot, mobile,...)? A switch system?

I'm sure a lot of answer are already in the forum but I can't find, so if you can help me.....

Loss of water and a massive temp increase is relative toa head gasket seal problem

Had a similar problem with a clio a coupel of years ago. I would fill the water up and turn the car over. White smoke would pour out of the exhaust and you could see the water dissapear. the temp would then go straight into the red. Apparently there was a crack between the water system and the exhaust pipes creating the steam

To do the airbox mod remove the filter cover. Reemove the filter and there is a small black cover at the front near the cold air feed. It should pull off

That's what I'm worried about....
But, is there some person with same problem? What did they exactly do?

So simple? No K&N filter or other?
Just pull this little things will change? so..... I will do it tomorrow....

Not a great deal of help but I got rid of the car as soon as possible as I couldnt afford the repair at the time and took the hit on the sale price.
If you can get it looked at before it causes any serious problems I would do.

The airbox mod simply irons out a few flat spots in the revs. If you want a better air input then I would upgrade to a K&N Panel filter

I think you have warped the head. Water will be leeking through the head gasket into your engine. You will need to skim the head to make a flat surface agian. unlucky frenchy

Il ne semble vous mai ont un problème de joint de la tête avec le moteur, mais avant de vous rendre à la machine et de bandes, ont un test de compression pour voir si vous sont en train de perdre la compression dans le cylindre.

Vous pouvez aussi avoir une odeur test pour voir si il ya des hydrocarbures dans l'eau. Un mécanicien décent devrait être en mesure de vous aider sur ce dernier. Pour être juste le 3.0 V6 CDTI n'a pas une réputation pour ce type de faute. J'espère que vous vous êtes résolu.

Thanks for your help.... I will see next week to do it using my warranty... (maybe i will also change water pump, etc....)

For a new air filter, where can i find one especially for Signum ? Is it exactly the same than for vectra?
In France, 3.0 v6 seems to never have existed...

And what about my others questions?

Si votre voiture est Euro 4, la 184PS moteur monté sur le visage des voitures, puis de réglage n'est pas une option que ce moteur ne répond pas bien et peut mettre la pompe à carburant sous une pression extrême, l'esprit, après avoir échoué de nouveau les cartes.
Si votre voiture est de Euro 3, le moteur 177PS dans la pré-lifting voitures alors qu'ils ne répondent bien à une nouvelle carte ou la case de réglage. Courtenay de K & N offre un filtre pour votre voiture, elle est la même que celle d'une Vectra filtre à air.
