Just paid for insurance on the Vectra this evening, £313 for the year. Bonus! Cheapest insurance I've ever had.
Went for AXA Direct in the end, my usual cheapest (AA) were looking £505.

I'm getting a bit cheesed off with mine. I've done all the GoCompare 'comparison' website stuff. It lists pretty good prices, but as soon as you say you've got a modification from 'standard', most of them say they can't offer you cover.
I've only got a 1.9Cdti 150 Elite with a stainless twin exit back end (the ONLY mod), I'm over 40 with 2 yrs no claims and most are coming back with figures ranging from £500 to £900 fully comp!!
The SS exhaust doesn't even alter the BHP !!
My renewal is up on 6th April and if I don't beat these quotes so far, I think it's going to have to go
Chris Knott is good as they will not charge for modifications except performance ones and from what people tell me that is not even dear either.
This site has a deal with them too.

Mmm...I tried them. My renewal premium, (by installments), is currently £530 with Quinn Direct. Chris Knott offered £650
Anyone else got any recommendations??
It's only a bloomin' 1.9 150 Cdti Elite, I live in the middle of nowhere and I'm 42 with no claims and a clean licence !!!!!
Oh to be old, that's more than the GSi (£308)
I'm 32, 6 years NCB, in Belfast which isn't an insurance friendly place.
Adrian Flux was OK for me when I had modified insurance. Charged me £580 for the Astra (VXR brakes, remap, decat, ARB, suspension).
If you have more than one car in the house try Admiral multi car, you insure one now and then they quote for the rest of the year on the other so they both get renewed this time next year. Worth a shot!
direct line do a multi car discount too, ive just paid £319 fully comp with protected no claims with chris knott, with my snowies and my grille...
not sure, ive got maximum no claims 13 years altho they only give u 5 as max dont they, i dont do a lot of mileage either, probly wont do 5000 miles in a year.
