    Default Swirl valve actuator--Connection Bar

when you replace the inlet manafold and use the same motor do you need to get a modded Connection Bar as as my swirl flap seam to be open on normal running

ie it's like the littel black plastic bar brtween the motor and inlet is to long so is opening the swirl flaps far far to soon

hope somebody can help on this one

I thought you needed to get a new motor, as each motor "learns" it's position from the manifold, and if you change the manifold the motor won't be in the correct alignment. At least that's what the Pierberg document says...

Definatley - you must change the actuator motor as it does learn its alignment etc. This is documented by VX and by the manufacturer of the Inlets.

Sorry to post on an old thread but if you are using a second hand inlet manifold, can you use the motor off that car to, keeping them together. I was thinking the motor would have learned that manifold and I could put them both on another car together.

in therory yes - if you have the actuator that was on the car with the inlet then you will be ok.

Ill be honest tho - if your going to do the job of changing the inlet - I wouldnt use a second hand one.
