    Default Rear seat base problem!

Hey wonderul vectra-c friends hope you can help with this,

My rear seat base on the passenger side is loose i.e i can lift it up and down :s Ive had a look underneath the seat as much as i can see is a catch which looks very similar to a bonnet catch which goes into the bodywork underneath the seat.

Does anyone know how to re-secure the seat as its doing my head in with the seat base moving slightly when people sit on it

    Cheers guys

You need to go to the dealers and get new clips , that the seat locates into , no way around it

Yup, I did it myself not so long ago.

The part number is 5168451 and are £7.00 from the dealers.

What does it involve? is this clip accessed from underneath the car?

No, just slightly lift the seat and there are metal brackets which the plastic clip goes onto, you then push the seat back down and the clip should locate in a hole in the floor of the car and clip in.

Are there 2 clips or one ? Where are they located - along the front edge of the seatbase or towards the back ? Do you fit them first to the seat base or to the car body under the seat base

2 clips one roughly one each side where a bum would get parked. They push into the bodywork under the seat and the seat base secures into them.
