Sulphur Smell when starting sri 1.9 cdti veccy

My wifes sri has had quite a few problems, all now sorted i noticed the other day a faint sulpur crap smell inside when driving, initially i thought it was junior in the back seat filling his nappy again until today, i got into the car, started the engine and immediately there was a strong sulphur smell inside. Would this possibly be the Cat starting to pack in?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated

Mine does it sometimes, usually if i have got the door open or a window when the wind is in the wrong direction. Diesels don't need CAT's for emmisions, just for soot so don't worry too much, diesel burning does smell of sulphur.

Does it happen every time, can it be smelt when driving?

Give it a good blast 1st mate n c if the smell goes?anti freeze usually is quite fishy in smell btw n sulphur is sometimes linked 2 the exhaust cat...hope this help u out

It's ages since I had a leek & couldn't remember, but now you say the cat's years ago seemed to smell a lot. I stand erected ......

if its smelling in the car whilst driving it could be the injector seals!! i drive merc sprinter for a living and it is a common fault that when injector seals are knackered fumes come in the cab.
